Ramblings....

The tree is FINALLY up and decorated (as of Saturday) and for the first time in a very long time, it looks like a display straight out of a Macy's windows. All ornaments are silver, white, red or clear, with clear twinkle lights….AWWWWW!!!!

Previously the tree had taken on a life of it's own with ornaments of all shapes and sizes; gaudy and not so gaudy ornaments. For the sake of all things Christmas…. BAN THE GAUDY TREES!!!!...LOL

With numerous Christmas activities continuing to roll in this week, I've been bombarded with baking Christmas cupcakes (2+ dozen Sunday and Monday nights) for use at the Cadets Christmas Dinner, my soriety chapter Christmas Potluck and John's final Social Justice meeting of the current year.

Note: one tub of frosting, 2 boxes of cake mix and nearly a pound of sprinkles is adequate to complete the aforementioned baking requirements.

The Cadets Christmas Dinner (held Monday night) was a great time held by all and despite having taken a few photos, I've yet to get them off my camera… continue to STAY TUNED!!!!

That said, Dakota had her "creative dance" recital last night whereby they'd been busy practicing a Hip Hop routine in conjunction with "Usher's" song "Moving Mountains".

Here is a video we captured for your viewing pleasure….

I've a few random topics for future blog posts rolling around collecting dust, and so perhaps over the next while I will incorporate them into something more cohesive and entertaining.

Have a great night!!!

And where is the picture of your tree? It sounds lovely! I really need to break out of my red and white decorations habit. My kids are complaining that the tree looks the same every year. I don't know what they are talking about it has only looked that way every year for 10 years or so.....
